Essential reading for all students of the force of nature currently operating as Rik Roots. Here you will read Rik as he happens to other people, objects and occasional lines of verse. Complementary ice cream is served to selected guests on alternate Thursdays. Visitors are reminded not to complain about the kitten photos. No spitting, and no refunds!
The RikVerse
The RikVerse website is a living book of poems, regularly revised and updated with new work as the muse I ride sees fit

From Each Skull, A Story
None of the people described in these poems are real – they've all emerged fully formed from my imagination. Feel free to draw whatever conclusions you like from this admission.

I know you haven't been on this blog for a couple of months but I just wanted to drop you a note to say that I downloaded "The Gods in the Jungle", am 91% of the way through, and am anxiously hoping that there will be a sequel or sequels. Love the world, but love even more the story being told in the book. Read some of the encyclopaedia but I find that, as with Tolkien, I'm more interested in the characters and their little conflicts than in the big sweep of history and geography that you're laying out. But it's great to be able to dip into the world when I have questions about it.
ReplyDeleteSo here's a glowing review (well, take it for granted) and a plea -- write more books, Rik! About Kalieda, please.
